Honda has unveiled an all-new scooter at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) in Indonesia. Inspired from the bigger X-ADV 750 the style of the X-ADV 150 is quite muscular and different for a scooter of its class.
At the front, the scooter gets dual LED headlamps along with a telescopic suspension and an adjustable windscreen. The X-ADV series from Honda is also focused on providing off-road performance for the adventurer in you. So even with the smaller X-ADV 150, you can take some of the trails if you want.
Along with the front the rear also gets and LED taillamp, even the turn indicators are LED. The floorboard gets the split design for a comfortable riding position, the instrument cluster is a fully digital negative display unit. The exhaust unit is mounted a bit high and looks good, the rear also gets gas-filled shock absorbers from Showa.
Powering the scooter is a 149.3cc, 4-stroke, single-cylinder engine which makes 14.5ps at 8,500rpm and 13.8Nm of torque at 6,500rpm. The engine comes mated with a Vario-Matic transmission. While the bigger X-ADV had spoked wheels this one sits on an alloy wheel. Upfront, we have a 14-inch alloy wheel and at the rear is a 13-inch wheel. It gets dual-purpose tires on both the ends. Braking duties are carried by Petal discs on both ends along with a single-channel ABS or CBS.
Honda has no plans to bring the scooter to India. There’s no such market for adventure scooter in India as of now, and this scooter will cost a lot higher than regular 150cc if Honda plans to bring it. Until then we have to settle with Honda Activa, Grazia, and the Dio.
