Today, Honda celebrated 18 years of India’s 1st moto-scooter. Honda two-wheeler has launched the new BS6 version of Dio. The new scooter will be soon available at company’s dealerships nationwide at a starting price of Rs 59,990 (ex-showroom, Delhi). It has been 18 years of the Honda Dio existence in India. The scooter was focused on attracting young-gen buyers with its dynamic and more exterior. The vehicle is now BS VI-compliant and received many exciting improvements as well.
The new BS6 Dio is offered in two new versions: Standard and Deluxe. The standard variant is available in Mat Axis Grey Metallic, Candy Jazzy Blue, Sports Red & Vibrant Orange shades. While top-specs Deluxe variant comes in Mat Sangria Red Metallic, Dazzle Yellow Metallic & Mat Axis Grey Metallic colours. The updated version of Dio is integrated with a silent start technology which is an ideal choice for new-gen buyers.
The scooter gets new fully-LED headlamp and a digital instrument cluster with 3-Step Eco Indicator support. It displays Total Trip, Clock and Service Due Indicator. The scooter is equipped with a new comfortable seat along with enhanced performance. It will offer smoother rides on the city roads. Now, it features conventional telescopic forks at the front, which is first-in-segment. The seat and external Fuel Lid can be opened using the new Integrated Dual Function Switch.
The new Dio has received a new design scheme which highlights updated front rib, a new tail lamp set up, sportier split grab rails along with bold and all-new underpinnings. The functions are efficiently accessible by the riders. It is fitted with side stand Engine Cut-off function. The wheelbase of the scooter is 22mm more which makes it more stable than before. It is manufactured with more than ‘20 patent applications’.
The engine is now updated to BS6 standards to satisfy the upcoming emission norms. The new Dio is powered by 110cc PGM-FI HET (Honda Eco Technology) engine which comes with Enhanced Smart Power (eSP) which enhances the overall performance. Moreover, it features Combi-Brake System (CBS) along with equalizer. The company has announced a 6-year warranty package on offer for the new version.
You can book the BS6 Dio now. Honda two-wheelers have more than 33 lakh satisfied customer of the Dio till date. Although, the company will start the deliveries of the scooter shorty. The units will reach Honda dealerships next week. The Standard variant is offered at Rs. 59,990, while Deluxe variant comes at Rs. 63,340 (prices ex-showroom, Delhi).
