Honda India is bringing back the Honda Civic to India very soon. It is set to launch in the country in March 2019. Deliveries will also begin at the same time. This will be the 10th generation of the Honda Civic.
But now pictures of the car have flooded the internet just before the official launch. We can also see the car completely undisguised in the spy shots. The picture from TeamBHP shows the new design of the car clearly.
New Honda Civic Design and Features
It gets revamped exterior and interiors. The new front design now features a new piano black grille with an angular bumper design. It also sports LED headlights and LED DRLs. The car also gets chrome accents around the fog lamps. The side of the car now features a unique shoulder line running from the headlights to the tail lights.
The interiors of the new Honda Civic gets a 7” touchscreen infotainment system supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Also on offer are features like a sunroof, rear AC vents and front, and rear passenger armrests. The new Civic is also loaded with safety features. It sports 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, cruise control, collision warning, mitigation system along with automatic braking, lane departure warning and lane keep assist.
The new Honda Civic will run on a 1.8-liter iVTEC petrol engine and also a 1.6-liter iDTEC diesel engine. The petrol motor produces 141 bhp power and 174 Nm torque. On the other hand, the diesel unit churns out 118 bhp power and 300 Nm torque. Both the engines are mated to a 6-speed manual or a 9-speed auto gearbox.
Honda Civic will compete against other cars like the Hyundai Elantra, Toyota Corolla Altis, and the Skoda Octavia. It has an estimated starting price of INR 18-20 lakh.
