So, What’s under the hood?
We get two engine options for the 5th Gen City. One is the 1.5L DOHC diesel engine that has been updated to meet the BS6 norms. The diesel engine currently develops a 100 bhp and and 200 Nm of torque. On the other hand, we have a 1.5L Naturally aspirated i-VTEC petrol engine that develops 121 bhp and 145 Nm. The 6 Speed Manual transmission is a standard on both petrol and diesel motors, whereas the CVT box is available only in the petrol variants of the city.
Okay. How big is the new City?

What do I get for my money?
The top of the trim ZX has full LED headlamps with LED DRLs, 16-inch alloys, an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto. Going with the connected car trend, Honda has introduced the Honda Connect telematics system with 32 connected car features and Alexa remote capability (a first in country). We also get a 7.0-inch colour MID, automatic climate control, an electric sunroof, keyless entry with push button start/stop, paddle-shifters and remote engine start (sadly, on the CVT only).
Will the City keep me safe?
With the safety features becoming the talk of the town rather than the mileage, Honda city doesn’t disappoint. Safety features for top-spec City include six airbags, ABS with EBD and brake assist, vehicle stability assist, agile handling assist, hill-start assist, a tyre pressure monitoring system, Honda’s LaneWatch camera (again, a segment-first), ISOFIX child-seat mounts, rear parking camera, and auto headlamps and wipers.
