Honda CBR1000RR: In the previous year, the Japanese automotive manufacturer, Honda launches the most sportier bike for its fans which was named Honda CBR1000RR. Recently, the automotive company has updated the price tags for the latest CBR1000RR and CBR1000RR SP variants. Now, the CBR1000RR variant will be available at INR 14.78 lakh which was INR 16.79 lakh in the past. So, you will get a total reduction of approximately INR 2.01 lakh. Whereas, the CBR1000RR SP variant has received a price tag of price INR 18.68 lakh which was INR 21.22 lakh, after the launch. SP variant will come at a heavy price rebate of about Rs 2.54 lakh. Now you must be thinking about the reason for the heavy reduction in the price of the popular bikes. As you all know, Government had decreased the import duty on premium motorcycles so, it has affected many bike prices. The completely built unit (CBU) customs duties are decreased to about 25% for premium vehicles. There are many other automotive manufacturers who have decreased the prices because of CBU units customs duties. Some companies are Suzuki, Yamaha, BMW, Ducati, Indian, Harley-Davidson, Kawasaki, Aprilia, and others.
As told earlier, the latest CBR1000RR line-up was released in the previous year, that recorded 25 years of presence for Honda’s special range of bikes. It is powered by a 999cc inline-four engine which is capable of producing 191.6hp of peak power at 13,000rpm and 114Nm of peak torque at 11,000rpm. The engine delivers 10hp extra power compared to the previous version. According to the company, they have improved 90% of its bike range to achieve a weight decrease of about 16kg, as a result, the kerb weight of the vehicle is now just 195kg. The lightweight and boosted power provide the power-to-weight ratio of 14%.
The technical improvements of the Fireblade are a gyroscopic ABS system, ride-by-wire, 9-level traction control, preferred engine braking, an electronic steering damper and a power selector. Moreover, the SP variant is equipped with a front and rear semi-active Ohlins Electronic Control (S-EC) suspension. It features front 43mm NIX30 inverted forks, a rear TTX36 monoshock round, a rapid-shifter and downshifts support. The CBR1000RR range comes with all-color TFT screens in its cockpits.
The prices for standard and SP variant of Fireblades are INR 15.19 lakh and INR 18.97 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai), respectively. After the updated prices, the Fireblade is known as the budget liter-class supersport in the country. The CBR1000RR and CBR1000RR SP already have a good number of buyers and the price reduction will increase more followers. So, it’s the perfect time to buy, if you are a fan of sporty Honda bikes.
