Honda will soon unwrap an all-new BS6 two-wheeler on June 12. However, the company has not revealed much about the vehicle. It isn’t clear if we will get a BS6 complaint scooter or motorcycle. The company revealed the upcoming launch with a teaser that says “please hold a pin drop silence.” The most exciting report is that the two-wheeler maker has claimed that the introduction will be the first BS6 two-wheeler among ‘a quiet revolution’.
So, it could be an electric scooter model. In the month of March, this year a production variant was spied near the ARAI factory while on the test. While testing, the two-wheeler was heavily covered. Although, we get a glimpse of the scooter by its body panels and the instrument cluster which looked somewhat similar to Activa range. More details on the upcoming model will be revealed on the launch so, we have to wait for the official declarations.
By saying ‘pin drop silence’ and ‘a quiet revolution’, the company might be indicating elegance and performance that is produced by the fuel-injected engine, since Honda had declared that it will be first-ever BS6 compliant two-wheelers in the range. It is also assumed to be an updated version of the existing model, but nothing is yet confirmed as other reports suggest it as an all-new product. It can be launched at a price tag around Rs 62,000 (ex-showroom).
According to rumours, Honda can bring the latest modern scooter, Elite 125 on the scheduled date in the country. Elite 125 FI is already available in the global market and offered with the company’s PGM-FI Electronic Injection technology. It is powered by a 125 cc engine which is BS6 compliant and makes 8.52 hp of power and 10.54 Nm of max torque. It is developed with a telescopic fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear. After the launch, it will compete against Hero Maestro Edge 125 FI, which is a fuel-injected scooter.
