Honda Cars India Ltd. (HCIL) has launched a new VX CVT top variant of Honda Amaze. This amazing sedan is one of the best-selling cars in India and has also received the title of best sedan of the year. The all-new variant has been introduced with petrol and diesel engines. The popular sedan is now available with 4 versions in manual transmission: E, S, V and VX variants. The CVT (automatic) option comes with S, V and VX variants.
Honda Amaze is running successfully from the year 2013 and the company has reported more than 3.4 lakh buyers in the country. According to the automotive maker, they have delivered more than 85,000 units of Amaze in 2019. In terms of new features, the all-new VX CVT has received 17.7 cm advanced infotainment system with capacitive touchscreen, in-built satellite-linked turn by turn navigation, and smartphone connectivity which supports Android Auto and Apple Carplay.
Some more features of the new variant include IR remote control, additional USB-in port, steering mounted voice control switches, rear camera with guidelines and driver side window one touch up/down with pinch guard. Moreover, the VX variant consists of all the features that come with the standard V variant including keyless go, auto climate control and power windows.
The company has developed the popular Amaze with high-end safety features such as Front Passenger Seat Belt Reminder, High-Speed Alarm, rear parking sensors, ABS, Dual Airbags, ISOFIX Child Seat Anchorage, and Impact Sensing Door Unlock. Additionally, the CVT petrol variant comes with paddle shifters as well. The petrol variant runs on a 1.2-litre unit making 90 PS and 110 Nm, while the 1.5-litre diesel unit delivers 100 PS and 200 Nm along with MT option. The CVT unit generated 80 PS and 160 Nm.
Commenting on the launch of the new Amaze variant, Rajesh Goel, Senior Vice President and Director, Sales and Marketing, Honda Cars India said, “The 2nd generation Honda Amaze set a new benchmark in its segment with over 20 per cent of our customers opting for advanced CVT variants in both petrol and diesel. We are delighted to introduce the new VX CVT variant of Honda Amaze to complete the top spec VX range and offer increased choice to our customers”.
Honda Amaze is introduced in five shades: Radiant Red, White Orchid Pearl, Lunar Silver Metallic, Golden Brown Metallic, and Modern Steel Metallic. The top-spec Honda Amaze VX CVT petrol variant is available at Rs 8.56 lakh and the diesel variant is introduced at Rs 9.56 lakh. The top-of-the-line sedan rival against the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Volkswagen Ameo, Hyundai Xcent, Tata Tigor, and the Ford Aspire.
