Honda Activa 6G is finally launched in India. As said by the company, the game-changer is finally here. The new model was the most-awaited comes with lots of exciting features. Activa is the company’s best-selling range which gets a brand new addition. The scooter meets the upcoming BSVI emission norms which will hit the auto world this year.
At the front, the Activa 6G is equipped with new LED headlight. The scooter features a digital instrument console with a multi-information display which additionally displays real-time mileage and distance-to-empty. The company aims at improving the sales of the range with its modern looks which will attract the new-gen buyers. It will be available in 6 exciting shades and 2 variants: Standard and Deluxe. The shades include Dazzle Yellow Metallic, Pearl Precious White, Pearl Spartan Red, Matte Axis Grey, Glitter Blue Metallic, and Black.
The scooter is powered by a 109.19cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine which is developed with PGM-FI (Programmed Fuel Injection) to satisfy the emission standards. The FI motorcycles were introduced in 1982 with the CX500 Turbo and Wave 125 and remain popular since then. The engine also enhances overall fuel efficiency and performance. The engine is capable of churning out 5.73kW of max power at 8000rpm and 8.79 Nm of peak torque at 5250 rpm, combined with an auto transmission.
Introducing a new Quiet Revolution, the company reveals new-gen Activa with Silent Start technology. It is an automatic start/stop when the vehicle is idle conditions highlighting ESP (Enhanced Smart Power) technology for enhanced performance and upgraded economy which is the most developed move on the determined HET technology. The vehicle is built with a full metal body which makes it strong and sturdy.
India’s most successful scooter’s new version, Activa 6G features telescopic forks at the front and 3-Step Adjustable Spring Loaded Hydraulic at the rear. In terms of Braking, it comes with front and rear drum brakes with CBS as standard. It is equipped with 12-inches front wheel for more improved ground clearance of 171 mm along with 107 kg of the kerb weight. The new Activa also comes with dual function switch and multifunctional switchgear. In terms of dimension, the scooter is 1833mm in length, 697 mm in width and 1156 mm in height.
The new Honda scooter has received most of the features from its top-specs sibling, Activa 125. The Activa 6G is announced at a price starting from Rs 63,912 ex-showroom (Delhi). The company has already commenced production and the deliveries are said to begin starting next month. The two-wheeler makers will also sell the all-new Activa 6G in many finance choices via prefered partners.
