Honda Activa 5G : Honda two wheelers Launched the next gen Honda Activa 5G Scooter which was first showcased @ Auto Expo 2018. Honda Activa has been best seller in the automatic scooter segment. Earlier Honda announced that their Scooter segment grew by 30 per cent in February. The Honda Activa 5G will be successor to the outgoing model Activa 4G.

The Honda Activa 5G is very much identical and has full metal body like its outgoing Model, Activa 4G. The Scooter is available in two variants: Standard and DLX. The DLX Variant comes with a digital-analogue instrument cluster which has an ECO and service due indicator. Both the variants are loaded with all-LED headlamp and LED DRL’s integrated within the headlamp area. The scooter comes with boot opener switch which is positioned next to the ignition like the one we have in Grazia and features a mobile charging socket in the boot. The legacy of the Honda Activa has been maintained with very minimal changes in the overall design.

The Honda Activa 5G is mechanically unchanged and continues to draw power from the same tried and tested 109 CC Fan cooled, 4 stroke, engine which generates 8bhp @7500 rpm with 9Nm of torque @ 5500 rpm which is mated with a V-Matic transmission and can turn the needle with a top speed of 83 Kmph.

The Scooter gets High rigidity Under Bone frame with Spring Loaded Hydraulic suspension on both the sides. The tyres at both the end are 90/100-10 53J (Tubeless) and the braking is performed by 130mm Drum in both the wheels along with CBS (Combined Braking System). It get a fuel tank capacity is 5.3 Liters and 18 Liters of boot space. The scooter will be available in eight shade option: Dazzle Yellow Metallic, Majestic Brown Metallic, Matte Axis Grey Metallic, Black, Matte Selene Silver Metallic, Pearl Amazing White, Pear Spartan Red and Trance Blue.
The Scooter has been priced @ 52,460 which is just 1000 premium to its outgoing model Activa 4G. The New Activa 5G will rival against Hero Maestro, Hero Duet, Yamaha Facino.
