HeroMoto Corp, TVS Motor, BMW and Others to Skip Auto Expo 2020

Auto Expo 2020 is coming soon to blow our minds with the latest and unique automotive concepts from different manufacturers. The event is scheduled to be held on February 7, 2020, and will end on February 12, 2020. As said earlier, the automotive world is facing somewhat retardation, some popular automotive makers have withdrawn their interest from the event.

Hero MotoCorp have confirmed that they will not be a part of the upcoming Auto Expo. The latest report suggests, “The domestic two-wheeler industry has been passing through a time of volatility, with market demand continuing to be sluggish. Notwithstanding these challenges, Hero MotoCorp – and indeed the entire industry – is gearing up for the migration to the new emission norms ahead of the mandatory deadline of April 1, 2020.”

The report further claimed, “At a time such as this, it is prudent for us to prioritise our resources towards meeting business objectives for the benefit of our customers and other stakeholders. In keeping with our prioritised objectives, we have decided after much deliberation, to skip the upcoming Auto Expo.” Beside Hero MotoCorp, many other automotive manufacturers will be not seen in Indian’s biggest auto show.

Some of the names include Honda Cars, Hero MotoCorp, BMW, and Ashok Leyland as well. Hence, the auto show will witness fewer concepts compared to the previous 2019 event. The makers have already released sone outstanding models so, they claim to not attend the Auto Expo as the firm doesn’t have concepts to showcase now. Ford and Fiat Chrysler have also reported to not visit the Auto Expo.

In the luxury car range, Mercedes-Benz and Lexus will be the only company’s to debut their models. Along with Hero MotoCorp, companies like Bajaj Auto, TVS Motor, Yamaha and Royal Enfield have the same plan. Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India are also expected to not attend the Auto Expo 2020, but the report is not yet confirmed by the company. You will notice new two-wheelers from Suzuki and Piaggio for sure which will be an attraction on the stage.
