Hero MotoCorp has launched the 125 cc scooter named Destini 125 at New Delhi today. With the launch of the Hero Destini 125, the auto maker marks its entry into the 125 cc motorcycle segment. The 125 cc scooter segment is growing 77 percent year on year. The Hero Destini 125 was unveiled earlier this year at the Auto Expo in the form of the Duet 125. The Destini 125 scooter has been launched at price of Rs 54,650 for the LX variant while the VX variant has been priced at Rs 57,500. Both the prices are ex showroom – Delhi prices.

The Hero Destini 125 sports a simple design with wavy lines. Besides that Hero has added a few more premium features, which consists of a large chrome panel on the front apron and small chrome accents at the sides. The Hero Destini 125 comes equipped with a semi digital instrumental cluster, service due reminder, alert indicators for side stand along with an external fuel filler cap in order to aid convenience. The other features on the Destini 125 scooter includes the Mobile charging port, a remote key as well as a lamp for the understated storage space.

The Destini 125 scooter is built based on the Duet 110 scooter. Like all the other scooters from Hero MotoCorp, the Destini 125 is engineered at the company’s centre of Innovation and Technology in Jaipur. The Hero Destini 125 comes with cast wheels, underseat USB charger as well as optional front disc brake and Integrated Braking System (IBS). Suspension duties are handled by the telescopic forks upfront and a hydraulic shock absorber at the rear.

Powering the Hero Destini 125 is an air cooled single cylinder 124.6 cc engine, which churns out a maximum power of 8.7 PS and produces a peak torque of 10.2 Nm. The engine powering the scooter comes with the Hero’s i3S technology, which helps in reducing emissions and boosts fuel efficiency as well. The Hero Destini 125 takes on the likes of the Honda Activa 125, the TVS Ntorq 125 and the Suzuki Access 125. The launch of the Destini 125 during the festive season will definitely boost the company’s sales.
