Recently, Chinese auto firm Haojue made patent for a new street bike called HJ300 in China. However, the area of interest for us is that Haojue is manufacturing partner for Suzuki Motorcycles in China and HJ300 may make its way to India in form of GSX-S300. The patent has been filed with China’s State Intellectual Property Office by Haojue’s parent company, Dachangjiang Group Co. with design named as HJ 300 which suggest the design is registered under Haojue.
Haojue has already been manufacturing bikes like GW250 and GSX 250R in Changzou, China with export to more than 70 countries. Rumors suggesting that Suzuki is planning for the replacement of it 250cc segment and HJ 300 (GSX-S300) could become the replacement which may make its way to India with rebadging and few tweaks to the HJ 300. The HJ 300 is a 300 CC twin parallel motor unit and looking at the images the bike has few Suzuki design clues from Gixxer like headlamps and short exhaust mufflers.
The bike is a complete rebuilt and the bike seems to be based on diamond frame and features like ABS, LED headlamps and tail lamps are also can be seen. The bike is also expected to feature all digital LCD display unit at the center console alike the Gixxer series. The bike has all new design and bold substance and could become a success incase launched in Indian market under Suzuki badging. Indian Market has been witnessing a shift change from commuter bikes to performance bikes and Suzuki incase launched the bike in India will make the Indian offering more enriched with products like Yamaha FZ25, TVS Apache RTR 200 4v, Dominar 400 and KTM 390 Duke.
Haojue HJ300 is expected to be launched by 2019 with a strong possibility of being launched in global market with re-badging of GSX S300 and is expected to carry the heritage of its elder siblings from GSX-S750 and GSX-S1000.
