The all new Grand i10 is set to arrive at the Indian markets by the end of the next year and following its launch, the all new Xcent compact will be launched in 2020. Both the models the all new Grand i10 and the all new Xcent will come with a major makeover in terms of styling, features and engine. Hyundai, the Korean brand has begun the testing of the all new i10 in the country. When launched the Grand i10 will compete on the likes of the Honda Amaze and the Maruti Suzuki Dzire.
Both the upcoming models from Hyundai – the new Grand i10 and the new Xcent will come featured with LED DLRs, iBlue app, rear spoilers and touchscreen infotainment system supported with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Besides that the all new Grand i10 sports roof rails and body side mouldings while the Xcent comes with wireless charging. Both the cars will be available in AMT transmission options as well. Hyundai, the Korean brand has added a host of new features to both the upcoming cars in order to make the cars more attractive to the buyers.
Hyundai has offered same petrol and turbocharged diesel engines on both the cars. The 1.2 litre four cylinder petrol engine churns out a maximum power of 82 Bhp and produces a peak torque of 115 Nm. A five speed manual and four speed torque converter automatic gearboxes get matted to the engine. On the other hand the 1.2 litre three cylinder turbocharged diesel engine churns out a maximum power of 74 Bhp and delivers a peak torque of 190 Nm. A five speed manual gearbox gets paired to the engine. The Grand i10 and the Xcent are also offered in cabbie spec trim.
The Grand i10 will be offered in petrol MT, petrol AT and diesel MT versions and will be priced in the range of Rs 5.69 lakhs to Rs 6.67 lakhs while the sports variant of the i10 hatchback offered in petrol MT, petrol AT and diesel AT trims will be priced in the range Rs 6.98 lakhs to Rs 7.90 lakhs. The Xcent SX trim will be offered in petrol MT and diesel MT variants and will be priced in the range of Rs 6.98 lakhs to Rs 9.70 lakhs while the top of the line SX [O] will be priced in the range rs 7.74 lakhs to Rs 8.67 lakhs. Hyundai offers a discount of Rs 65,000 on the petrol variants of the all new Grand i10 while both the petrol and diesel variants of the new Xcent gets a benefit worth Rs 90,000.
