Suzuki teases a new motorcycle - is it the new Gixxer 250?

Suzuki Motorcycles recently sent out press invites which are also a teaser for their new launch. Is it the New Gixxer 250, or the new Access 125, or a refreshed Gixxer line-up? The company is not revealing any more details except for the date – May 20. The invite also includes a teaser image which is confusing everyone.

This image looks like it is either the headlamp or the tail lamp. From this setup and all the rumors going around leads us to believe that this could indeed be the Suzuki Gixxer 250. Suzuki also says that this is their biggest launch of the year.

The Gixxer 250 is available internationally as the GSX-250R. This international spec model gets a 250cc parallel twin motor that produces 25PS power and 23.5Nm torque. However, Suzuki may sell the Gixxer 250 with a single cylinder and possibly air-cooled engine to lower the costs. This motor will also produce slightly less power than the parallel twin motor. It may also get standard front forks, rear mono-shock, and ABS as standard.

The design for the Gixxer 250 is from the bigger liter class counterparts. This will make the Gixxer 250 more attractive. Currently, it will compete against the likes of the Yamaha Fazer 250, Honda CBR 250R and also the KTM RC 200.

However, it is possible that this can be a completely different motorcycle altogether, maybe even a scooter. The image could also be the tail light of the new Access 125. Other possible options are a refreshed Gixxer with an updated design and features. Whatever the case, we will have to wait until May 20 making more speculations.
