Suzuki has finally launched the Gixxer ABS (Anti Braking System) motorcycle in India. The new variant of the bike is priced at Rs. 87250 (ex showroom Delhi), which is Rs. 6321 costlier than the old models. The ABS equipped with the bike now makes it more safe to ride on.
The models of the bike having a rear disc brake is equipped with the new single channeled ABS. Metallic Triton Blue/Glass Sparkle Black, Candy Sonoma Red/Metallic Sonic Silver and Glass Sparkle Black are the three dual tone color available with the recently launched automobile. Apart from ABS (Anti Braking System) with SJCS (Suzuki jet cooling system) installation, the bike receives no such updates it still runs on a 155 cc, BS IV, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine which makes a peak power of 14.8 hp at 8000 rpm and torque of 14 Nm at 6000 rpm. It gives a mileage value of 63.5 kmpl. The length, width and height of the bike is 2050 mm, 785 mm and 1030 mm respectively. The fuel tank capacity is 12 litres. AHO Headlight, LED tail lamp, fully digital speedometer, large diameter with front and back disc brake are some of the features of the newly released variant of Gixxer.

The ABS option allows us to improve on an already exciting riding experience for our Gixxer customers. The Gixxer series is an important cog of our India product-strategy. With enhancements like ABS, we will continue to improve on the value-proposition we offer to our customers.”
Honda CB Hornet 160R, Yamaha FZ-S Fi, Bajaj Pulsar NS160 and the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V are the suspected rivals of the Suzuki Gixxer ABS 2018 in the current Indian two-wheeler market.
