Ford Launches Office Ride App Based On Mobility Solutions For Pune

Ford India has launched an App for providing better-shared mobility solutions for the residents of Pune. Partnering with Hinjawadi Industries Association (HIA) for launching the App.

The basic idea of the App is to provide mobility solutions which include a transport system and a Mobility Innovation Hub. This service will help more than 350,000 people working at Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park to get an alternative for their commuter, which is not only smart but more safer.

Ford Launches Office Ride App Based On Mobility Solutions For Pune

The Office Ride was first announced last week in smart city initiative announced by Hon’ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra Shri Devendra Fadnavis. Office Ride will cover 2,800 acres of Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park (RGIP) in Hinjawadi, which includes 180 IT companies and a total of 3,50,000 employees. Very less of those employees use public or shared transport for their commute. With Office, Ride Ford aims to reduce congestion and pollution by providing sharing commute.

Dr Satish Pai, President, Hinjewadi Industries Association (HIA) said on the launch “We welcome Ford to the Metrozip family with their safe, convenient and connected Office Ride solution and thank them for their support in redefining the future of mobility.”

These vehicles will be equipped with Wifi. Through the App, you can plan your commute with live tracking of the vehicle, so that no time is wasted waiting for the vehicle. All digital payment options are supported, including digital wallets, internet banking, and credit/debit cards.

Rajendra Jagtap, the CEO, PSCDCL said: “We welcome Office Ride to Pune and look forward to partnering with Ford to help resolve the urban mobility challenges facing the city,”.

Ford has a special team for smart solutions for future cities of India knows as Ford’s City Solutions team. Before Pune, the team earlier signed a MoU with Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority [MMRDA] to set up common mobility solutions for commuters across multiple modes of transportation such as buses, trains, taxis, metros and vehicles across Maharashtra.

Solutions like these will help us overcome the issue of traffic and pollution and contribute towards a cleaner and smarter future. As more manufacturers are coming in with smarter solutions the future ahead looks bright.
