We are just two days away from the official launch of the new Ford Aspire facelift sedan. After so many rumors and spy shots, the vehicle is finally launching in India and the Ford fans are excitedly waiting for the addition of the new range. The new vehicle has received many modifications in terms of features and specs compared to the standard version. It will be seen in a bold and solid appearance. Officially, the sedan will be introduced on Thursday, October 4, 2018.

The facelifted Aspire will make its presence in the sedan market in an all new avatar. The next-gen Aspire will definitely increase the sales of the range in this festive season in India. In 3 years, the company has sold over 9,000 unit of the standard variant. So, the company’s main goal to launch the facelifted variant is to gain more customers in India. The new version has received an all-new front grille highlighted with a honeycomb mesh, chrome trims, and modified headlamps. The bumper and fog lamps are also modified which is now sportier.

The top-spec variant has received silver shaded bumper and latest alloy wheel. On the rear, it has got a new bumper and reverse parking camera over the license plate. Not only the exterior, but the cabin is also modified with dual-shade black and beige treatment based on the EcoSport. It will be outfitted with a 6.5- or 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system highlighting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Moreover, the interior is equipped with AC vents, advanced dashboard, dual airbags and ABS with EBD as standard. The warranty is also extended to standard 5-yr/ 1,00,000km.

The Aspire facelift is powered by a new powerful 1.2-litre engine from the Dragon engines range generating 96hp power, combined to a five-speed manual gearbox. The company has first used this engine in the Freestyle which has an ARAI-certified fuel economy of 20.4kpl. The previous Aspire was available with a 1.2-litre petrol engine that produced a fuel efficiency of 18.16kpl. The brand-new facelift is powered by a fresh 1.5-litre petrol engine for the automatic version which generates 123hp power and 150Nm torque. The engine is combined with a six-speed gearbox that is a torque converter unit which claims a fuel economy of 16.3kpl.

The facelifted version has been spotted many times before the official launch. The 2018 Ford Aspire will rival against Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Honda Amaze, Hyundai Xcent, and Tata Tigor. The vehicle is assumed to be launched at a price between Rs. 5.9 lakh and Rs. 8.9 lakh (ex-showroom).
