Fisherman Rewarded: India’s Kerela state was hit by the worst flood condition in a century. This was the toughest time of the peoples living in the state. More than hundreds of peoples were found dead in the state with major property damages. The rescue and relief operations are still going on across the areas. The state is still suffering from major difficulties like electricity and communication, lack of food, clean water, and sufficient medical aid. However, there were many peoples who tried to help the state in terms of funds and support.
During the saddest times of Kerala’s floods, many local peoples came out to help including a local fisherman who showed his extreme kindness towards the sufferers. A video went viral over the social media and news channels where a local fisherman, Mr. Jaisal helped the peoples stuck in the flood with his remarkable gesture. The fishermen were the real hero of the rescue and relief operations who came in the flooded areas with their boats.
In the video, we can see that he stood on his knees and hands inside the water and helped the stuck peoples to get into a rescue boat by allowing them to climb on his back. By noticing his kind gesture, a Kozhikode-based Mahindra merchant, Eram Motors rewarded the fisherman with an all-new Mahindra Marazzo MPV. Marazzo was recently released at Nashik by Mahindra and now, the Kozhikode district has the first, most deserving proprietor of the car, Mr. Jaisal.
Jaisal received the key of the all-new Marazzo by Kerala Excise and Labour minister, TP Ramachandran. Eram Group CMD Siddique Ahmed, mayor Thottathil Ravindran, Kozhikode Collector U V Jose was also present at that occasion. Jaisal said that he was notably pleased to get the reward, and also claimed that he will surely use it for the social cause. He also supported other area flood victims with the help of his friends. Not only him, more than 3000 fishermen strived in the rescue and relief operation and transferred their boats on vehicles to flood zones. This step of Mahindra will encourage more peoples to contribute towards social causes.
