The Ferrari Roma is arguably one of the best looking cars from the Italian supercar maker in recent history. It gets its name from the city of Rome and also shares its underpinnings with the Portofino. But Ferrari likes to call this model all-new. It also runs on a turbocharged V8 to keep up with its design.
The Ferrari Roma has a design, unlike any other Ferraris we have seen recently. It is called a “2+ coupe” which probably means a back seat. Though we can expect it to be extremely cramped. We can see elements of Aston Martin Vantage, Mercedes AMG-GT and also the BMW Z4. Which is not necessarily a bad thing as it will be competing against those cars. The car now has many curves and swerves to aid in better aerodynamics and downforce. This is extremely important for the car to remain stable at higher speeds, and this car can reach pretty high speeds. We can also see large air intake up front and also sleek headlamps. The rear features sloping roofing and a tail lamp with a minimal bar-like design.
Under the hood, there is a 611hp 3.9-liter turbocharged V8 mid-engine. This motor also produces 760Nm of peak torque. Coupled with a dry weight of just 1,472kg, the car can do some impressive acceleration times. 0-100kmph in just 3.4secs also with a top speed of more than 320kph.
On the interior, we only get to see the dash without any details. The minimal theme somewhat continues on the inside with precisely placed switches, toggles, and displays. Also, we have no further information on what 2+ coupe means. We will have to wait for more information.
