Are you ready for the entry-level Ferrari Portofino launch in India? Yes, you heard it right. Ferrari is ready to introduce the most-awaited Portofino in India. The all-new convertible racing car is scheduled to be introduced in India on September 28. Portofino will take place the ‘sporty, elegant and versatile’, Ferrari California T. The new Portofino will be a perfect blend of performance, versatility, and design. The company has announced the sporty, Portofino in its Ferrari’s 70th-anniversary event which was held at Italy in 2017.
Portofino is a fashionable car with a strong and powerful design. According to the company, the car has been specially developed to decrease the overall weight (nearly by 80kg) which also enhanced the torsional rigidity. Compared to the California range, the brand new model is lighter and 35% stronger. The new entry-model will have some unique features that are almost accurate. The vehicle has got its title of an Italian fishing village as it has a fascinating theme and a sporty style with smart aerodynamics on the action.
From the front fascia, the new Ferrari is outfitted with a wider and stronger radiator grille highlighting an innovative full-LED headlights set up. The sleek L-shaped headlights including dual secondary intakes placed at the bumper. We can notice air fins and a vent to direct the exhaust of the front wheel curves at the front fenders. The red exterior gives an attractive appearance to the car which also represents the company’s traditional shade. It will be powered by super powerful 3.9-litre twin-turbo V8 generating 600hp of peak power at 7,500 rpm and 760Nm of torque at 5,250rpm. The company claims the top speed at approx. 320kph or higher.
The new Ferrari Portofino is equipped with carbon fiber side skirt. Moving to the rear, we can see the legendary rear wheel arch, the modified circular tail light, a quad exhaust setup, with a molded boot cover. The cabin is more spacious than California. It has two display including 10.2-inch touchscreen and a rear side screen. The vehicle has a 2+2 seating arrangement so four passengers can easily fit in the sports car. The new model comes with the latest wind deflector developed to reduce the airflow in the interior.
The Portofino will be available for trading in two Ferrari showroom in India. The showrooms are Select Cars in New Delhi and Navnit Motors in Mumbai and the New Delhi showroom is said to introduce the new model on September 28. The price of the premium model is not yet announced officially, but it is assumed to be launched with a price tag of INR 3 Crore (ex-showroom).
