On last Thursday 21st June, a woman in Wenling China, crashed the Italian Supercar Ferrari 458, minutes after she rented the $660000 Four wheeler.
The anonymous lady is seen in a video footage, driving over a wet road and losing control of the automobile. The car spiraled out of control before crashing into the side of a BMW. The clips and video footages of the incident are viral on the social media platform Weibo. the car was completely disfigured, with its bonnet crashed and wheels dislodged. The passengers inside the car were unhurt and it is expected that the woman will have to pay half of the car’s price which is USD 300000. It is not yet known whether the women had an insurance done.
“First time driving a Ferrari. This truly is the most amazing feeling,” are the words of the woman, before the crash occurred. The BMW X3 which the Ferrari had hit in turn hit a Nissan saloon car, which caused a huge pile up on the road. The traction control was reportedly off before the car crashed into the BMW. Despite a low speed collision, the cars airbags were deployed completely and the front region disfigured badly. the Race mode of the car might have been activated with its traction off on a slippery road, well the conditions might have been ideal for a race track but the recent developments prove that they can be fatal for the public roads.
After the video went viral people have commented a few things. Netizen ‘Lutaichang 921’ wrote: ‘See, Ferraris have terrible build quality – that’s why I haven’t bought one’ followed by an emoji of a winking face. It really is a pity although for the other victims who had their cars damaged because of a careless renter, who didn’t even buy the car.
