The premium scooter Yamaha Fascino is all set to paint the road in two new colours, as announced by the Yamaha Motor Private Limited. The new colours are Glamorous Gold and Dapper Blue. This scooter was originally launched in 2015 and later received minor updates in 2017.
Earlier the scooter was available in 5 other colours, which will continue to stay, namely, Beaming Blue, Dazzling Grey, Sizzling Cyan, Spotlight White and Sassy Cyan. The scooter is powered by an air cooled,single cylinder, 4 stroke, 113 cc, ‘Blue Core’ engine with CVT transmission technique which offers a fuel efficiency of 66 kmpl and produces a power of 7.1 bhp at 7500 rpm and 8.1 Nm torque at 5000 rpm. It has a compression ratio of 9.2:1. It also has a BS24 carburetor with Throttle Positioning Sensors (TPS). Along with new colours the Fascino comes with some other new features too. There is a chrome plated grille on the front of the scooter, beneath the Fascino emblem. The scooter weighs only 103 kgs (kerb weight) with front and sides adorned by stylish graphics. A raise grab bar and dual tone seat covers give the scooter Fascino a classy touch. The frame type of the scooter is underbone.
The front side of the Fascino bears a telescopic fork while the back has a single shock absorber. The clutch type is centrifugal. The scooter runs on a battery of 12 V, 5 AH (10 H). The gear ratios are 2.259-0.824.The classy headlamp and stylish handle bar gives just the necessary finishing touch. The scooter has a sophisticated, distinct 3D logo. A hook is placed just under the seat which makes it easy for the rider to carry their belongings. The retro themed mirrors can never go out of style. 21 liters of storage space is also another plus point of the Fascino. To ensure the leg reach the updated seat design is reported to be 7 mm leaner than the previous one.The seat height is 775 mm. The minimum ground clearance is 130 mm and the wheelbase is 1270 mm. The fuel tank capacity is said to be 5.2 liters. The Fascino has a length of 1815 mm, a width of 675 mm and a height of 1120 mm.
The senior vice president, sales and marketing, Yamaha Motor India Sales Private Limited Roy Kurian, spoke of their company’s commitment to provide their customers with exciting upgrades and offers frequently. He also mentioned that the new upgrade for Fascino is mainly for the younger generation who deeply value fashion and style beside comfort. The price of the scooter starts at Rs 54,593 (ex-showroom Delhi). After the Ray Z its the most affordable scooter from Yamaha. The Honda Activa, Honda Navi and Aviator are its probable competitors. The Fascino is expected to reach more customers along with its new updates and colours.
