Suzuki has teased the Ertiga GT, ahead of the official launched in Indonesia on March 23. The Ertiga GT is the production version of the concept that was showcased at GIIAS 2018. It is a standard Ertiga that had some cosmetic surgery and hit the gym before assuming the GT title. The GT will also have some cool features under its sleeves.
To start with, the GT will sport side skirts and bumper extensions at the front and the rear. Next up is the updated front grille. Gone is the multi-slat grille with chrome touches. In comes, the new mesh grille finished in black. It does sure make the Ertiga look angrier and pouncing when viewed head-on. The air-dam at the lower part of the bumper also gets a mesh-like structure instead of the regular slats. Expect to see more pronounced bumper creases, fog lamp housings, and black alloys.
Ertiga GT will also sport subtle touches of red accents on the front bumper, side skirt, and rear bumper extension. We can also expect the red theme to be carried in the cabin in terms of contrasting stitches on the seats and the steering wheel. Oh.. and also expect to see the GT Badging on the interior upholstery. The GT is very likely to get a black and red interior to carry the sporty feeling on the inside.
It’s all more with the Ertiga GT
In terms of features, expect the Ertiga GT to get touch screen infotainment system, tilt steering, automatic climate control, reverse camera with parking sensors, projector headlamps with DRLs, electronic ORVMs. Safety package will include Dual airbags with ABS and EBD.
The Ertiga GT will draw its power from the 1.5L, naturally aspirated, K15B petrol engine (104 PS @ 6000 rpm and 138 Nm @ 4400 rpm). The other could be the 1.5L, E15A turbocharged oil burner (95 PS at 4000 rpm and 225 Nm @ 2500 rpm). Expect the GT to be priced around INR 10 Lacs (ex-showroom).
