The American Car manufacturer, Ford has recalled 273 units of the India-Manufactured EcoSport in US over incorrect parts attached in the SUV. The US bound SUV were fitted with European spec brake fluid reservoir caps and owner’s manuals which were supposed to be fitted with US specs with US Owner’s Manual. The vehicles effected in the recall also includes the 2018 Ford EcoSport manufactured in Chennai assembly plant from October 27, 2017 to March 6, 2018.

The aforesaid incorrect parts will be replaced by the dealers with the US version of the brake fluid reservoir caps and US spec Owner’s manual for free of cost so as to meet the safety requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards in US. The issue seems to be a minor one. Although, Ford has promptly acted towards the miss in order to imply with the safety standards. The numbers of affected vehicles are low. The Ford USA has although not received any reports of accidents or injuries caused due to the incorrect parts.

The Ford India has recently launched the EcoSport Signature and “S” Variants in India, with return of the 1.0 Litre EcoBoost Engine priced at Rs. 10.4 lakhs and the diesel one is Rs.10.99 lakhs for Signature Edition and the “S” variant costs Rs. 11.37 lakhs for the petrol ones and the Rs. 11.89 lakhs for the diesel. The new EcoSports are inspired by the Titanium variant.

The Compact SUV has a stylish blue interior with power slide sunroof and black painted roof rails and roof spoiler. The SUV stands on 17 inch Diamond cut black alloy Wheels. Black headlight and bezel fog lamp give the car a stand apart look. Electronic stability and traction control system ensures the safety of the driver. The front grille with chrome surround is black glossy in color. The car is available in 4 colour options –  Diamond white, Absolute black, Moondust silver and Lightning blue.
