Ducati has revealed the most stylish and high-performance, Panigale V4R before the 2018 EICMA Motorcycle Show in Milan. Compared to the standard variant, the new model is sportier in a next-level. The all-new Panigale model is a World Superbike homologation special concept which comes with amazing figures. We can say that this is dream superbike of all racers. The superb wings and attractive colour theme makes it distinct from other models in the range.
In order to present the bike in World Superbike (WSBK), the company has to maintain certain rules for homologation which resulted in the trimming of few elements. Ducati has used a 998cc Desmosedici Stradale R engine in the all-new Panigale V4 R which is lower than the standard variant (1103cc). The reason for this modification is that to participate in the WSBK, the motorcycles should have displacement below 1000cc.
The powertrain of the new model will deliver 221 bhp max power and 111 Nm of peak torque. It features smaller engine elements and larger air intake performance. To lessen the overall weight and performance, the company has eliminated the mirrors and numberplate hangers. It is developed with a lighter Akrapovic exhaust system. It is equipped with lighter internal elements that help the machine to offer faster engine rev. For cooling purpose, the bike gets fairings along with twin gills.
The bike is made for riding on the road as well as racing tracks. It comes with Öhlins suspension highlighting mechanical adjustment and an aluminium swingarm. It gets adjustable four-position pin and Smart EC 2.0 system. The company has also enhanced the forged aluminium wheels and lithium-ion battery. The reworked version comes with advanced design highlighting aerodynamics kit including carbon fibre aerodynamic winglets and larger windshield.
In terms of electronic features, it is equipped with a new pit limiter, GPS-enabled lap timer, Bosch cornering ABS, Ducati traction control, slide control, wheelie control, power launch, and a bi-directional (up/down) quick-shifter. It highlights 81×48.4mm bore and stroke and weights 165kg. The price of the Panigale V4 R is not yet revealed and is expected to be launched in early 2019.
