Ducati has unveiled all-new variants of Diavel model, the Diavel 1260 and Diavel 1260 S at an event. The company has modified the Diavel and presented an all-new cruiser superbike. The body has got some wonderful elements which make the bike simply amazing. It has received forged aluminium plates and small exhaust system. The bike is designed with an extended fairing, bold headlight with turn signals placed in the radiator side cases.
The Diavel 1260 is powered by a 1,262 cc Testastretta engine based on the XDiavel, which is capable of generating 159 bhp of max power at 9500 rpm and 128 Nm of peak torque at 7500 rpm. It is featured with chain drive and not the old belt-drive of XDiavel. The company has adopted the Testastretta v-twin which will enhance the efficiency and performance of the sporty cruiser with desmodromic valve timing. If will offer more advanced and smooth rides on road compared to the XDiavel.
The S model is the top-specs variant which comes with fully adjustable Öhlins suspension and the standard variant missed this feature. The sportier models get six-axis Inertial Measurement Units (IMU) by Bosch as standard, which is capable of changing the roll and pitchforks. To maintain the price range, the standard variant comes with Brembo M4.32 callipers. ALthoygh, the top-specs, S variant adopts the extremely powerful Brembo M50 monobloc front brake callipers.
In terms of braking system, the model is equipped with twin 320 mm discs at the front and a 260 mm disc at the rear. For riders comfort, the bike is integrated with three riding modes that include Sport, Touring and Urban. All riding modes feature individual engine maps to handle the wheelie control, cornering ABS, and traction control. Moreover, the traction control comes with eight different levels as well.
The bikes are outfitted with 17-inch Pirelli Diablo Rosso III tyres on both ends. Some other features which are offered as standard consist of an all-new 3.5-inch TFT screen, hands-free ignition and cruise control. The company has given some special features to the S variant to make it a premium version including Bluetooth connectivity, up/down quick-shifter, LED headlight with DLR, advanced wheels, the Ducati Multimedia System, and stylish seating. The prices of the new models are not yet revealed officially. The bikes are expected to release by 2019 in India.
