Jaguar Land Rover India launched the 2019 Discovery Diesel in India. The heart of this beast is the all new 2.0L Diesel engine. The Ingenium Diesel engine develops a healthy 240 BHP/177 kW and earth moving 500 Nm of torque. This advanced engine is the first Jaguar Land Rover powerplant to feature series sequential turbo technology to deliver its additional thrust. Well, if you need more power, there is a more powerful 3.0-litre V6 diesel engine that produces 254 BHP and 600Nm.
The Discovery with the ‘most affordable’ price tag will set you back about INR 75.18 lakh. You have 4 trims to choose from i.e, S, SE, HSE & HSE Luxury trim. Features on offer include plenty. Electrically reclining seats, intelligent seat fold, four-zone climate control, powered third-row seats, panoramic sunroof, cabin air ionisation, 360-degree surround camera and adaptive cruise control are some of the features.

The new Discovery is a true all-rounder package. Speaking of the launch, Rohit Suri, President & Managing Director, Jaguar Land Rover India Ltd. (JLRIL), said: “The Discovery’s unmatched capability and versatility has now been enhanced with the introduction of the high powered Ingenium diesel variant at an attractive price that we believe will enable the Discovery to appeal to a wider customer base.”
The Discovery takes on the likes of BMW X5, Mercedes-Benz GLE, Audi Q7 and Volvo XC90. The Land Rover range in India includes the(starting at INR 44.68 Lakh), (starting at INR 52.06 Lakh), (starting at INR 75.18 Lakh), the (starting at INR 72.47 Lakh), (starting at INR 103.74 Lakh) and (starting at INR 181.86 Lakh).
