Datsun said that the cars have already reached dealerships and deliveries have already begun for the customers. With the introduction of the CVT to their lineup, the Datsun Go T  CVT is the most affordable CVT vehicle in India. Prior to the Datasun Go, the Nissan Micra was the most affordable CVT in India, but sadly though was not selling in large numbers. Another intriguing fact is that other competitors of the Datsun Go use an AMT gearbox – which is cost effective. With the introduction of the CVT (which of course you would’ve guessed by now, is borrowed from Nissan Micra), Datsun is hopeful of increasing the sales of the Go and Go Plus.

Speaking on the occasion, Rakesh Srivastava, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd, said, “In line with our mission of – Progressive mobility, we are introducing Nissan’s proven CVT technology in Datsun GO and GO+ to cater to the demand of the customers looking for stress free drive experience. With host of first-in-class and best-in-class features, Datsun GO & GO+ offer the best value proposition in its segment.”

Other equipments of the T and T(O) trims

The Go and Go Plus come equipped with 7- inch infotainment system bundled with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and voice recognition. Besides this, the cars also get LED DRLs, 14-inch alloy wheels, and electrically adjustable ORVMs. The Go and Go Plus get a dual front airbag, ABS, EBD with brake assist as standard, whereas the T and T(O) variant also get optional the segment-first VDC (vehicle dynamic control) system.

While the Go+ does not have any direct rivals, the Go locks horns with Renault Kwid, Tata Tiago, Maruti S-Presso, Alto and Wagon-R.
