Datsun is all set to update it’s most successful product in India Datsun Go and Go Plus. The new facelift will launch on 10th of October. Hence prior to launch, Datsun has opened booking for new models from today. Likewise, you can book the car at any authorized dealerships with a booking amount of Rs 11,000. Deliveries of the vehicle will commence from October 10th, 2018

Commenting on the announcement, Hardeep Singh Brar, Director Sales, and Commercial, Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd., said, “The young consumers today are looking for a car which complements their lifestyle and embodies their expression. We are confident that the new Datsun GO and GO+ offers a complete package with attractive design, power, and performance to our customers in India.”

The GO hatchback and Go Plus version will be available across existing five color grades. Datsun Go and Datsun Go Plus will be available with two new colors. Amber Orange and Sunstone Brown respectively.

The facelift features some changes in the front. Including the front revised bumper which looks sharper. New headlamps and a revised grille. While there are also vertical LEDs daytime running strips surrounded with the blacked-out insert. Also, other things like new 14-inch Alloy wheels, integrated turning indicators on Outside Rear View Mirrors (ORVMs).

In the interior, we can expect improved cabin touchscreen. Also a new 6.75 infotainment system which supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. This time the features list will include new additions like rear parking sensors, electric mirror adjusts, and rear window wipers.

Furthermore, Engine duties will be carried forward by the same 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine which churns 67 bhp at 5000 rpm and 104 Nm of torque at 4000 rpm. It will be mated to the five-speed manual transmission. There’s also rumor of  AMT in India but that will happen sometime later.

So, we can expect a bit of price hike according to features offered. Datsun Go will rival Hyundai Eon, Alto 800, Celerio and WagonR.
