There has been a large advent of electric scooters in India recently. From the popular Ather to the latest Bajaj e-Chetak, companies are shifting their focus to the EV market. As the message goes, EVs are the future forms of transportation. The latest in the crowd is a Uttarakhand based startup with its latest product, the Crayon Envy.
The Crayon Envy is on the premium side of the line-up. It sports a big and muscular body with unique features like a backrest for the pillion. Upfront, the scooter sports two huge LED headlamp units. The scooter also runs on tubeless tires.
Crayon Envy also gets a good list of features. It comes with keyless ignition, central locking function, digital speedometer, and even reverse assist. Regenerative braking is also present for the best efficiency. Crayon Motors also includes Geo Tagging, a side stand sensor, and a USB charger. It also gets a disc brake at the front and a drum at the rear.
Speaking about the new Envy electric scooter, Rahul Jain, Director, Crayon Motors, said, “Along with offering a high-quality product range, we also offer our customers ready EMI solutions from over 15 Banks and NBFCs. Over the next year, we are looking at adding another 100 dealers to our growing dealer network.” Customers can also purchase the Envy with a zero downpayment and a running cost of 14p/km.
The scooter runs on a 250-watt BLDC motor. It is powered by a 48V VRLA (Valve Regulated Lead Acid) battery. There is also an optional 60V Li-ion battery pack. It has a rated top speed of 25km/h and a range of 70km on a single charge.
