BS6 TVS Jupiter Classic launched in India and to make the scooter BS-VI compliant, TVS has given the Jupiter Classic a Fuel Injection system. As of now, only the BS6 TVS Jupiter Classic has been launched and other variants of the scooter will soon follow.
The launch of the BS6 compliant Jupiter follows the launch of the BS6 variants of the Apache motorcycles. The BS6 version of the TVS Jupiter is priced at ₹67,911 ex-showroom, Delhi, which is ₹7,921 more than the BS4 version of the Jupiter Classic. Bookings for the BS6 TVS Jupiter Classic are expected to begin immediately, soon followed by deliveries.
TVS has not officially announced specification figures, however, the company claims that the new BS6 TVS Jupiter Classic is 15 per cent more fuel-efficient than its BS4 counterpart. Expect power output to be marginally lower than the BS4 version of the Jupiter Classic.
As part of the update, TVS has also launched a new colour – INDIBLUE – as the company calls it and gets added features such as a USB mobile charger, a cubby hole to store a mobile phone, and a new tinted visor.
Speaking about the launch, Aniruddha Haldar, the Vice President (Marketing) – Commuter Motorcycles, Scooters, and Corporate Brand, at TVS Motor Company, said, “TVS Jupiter Classic ET-Fi delivers enhanced overall performance across driveability, smoothness, and fuel economy.”

The TVS Apache series that was launched also get cosmetic and mechanical updates and similar to the BS6 Jupiter Classic, they also get a bump in price, as the range now starts from ₹99,950 onwards.
