Hero MotoCorp has finally introduced all-new BS6 version Splendor Plus. The model is among the best-selling bike in the 100cc segment. Over the years, the Splendor series has received a remarkable demand in the Indian two-wheeler market. The bike is announced in three variants: kick-start/ alloy wheels, self-start/ alloy wheels and self-start/ alloys/ i3S. The affordable pricing of the bike is one of the reasons which has noticed a constant sales and fan following.
The new prices depend on the variant. The bike is priced Rs 59,600, Rs 61,900 and 63,110, individually. The new BS6 version is Rs 10,000 mire than the BS4 variants. The emission norms will hit the Indian automotive market by March 31, 2020. Hence, the company is actively working in clearing the remaining stocks of BS4 version model. In terms of designing, Hero Splendor Plus maintains the same stylish design.
Although to turn things out, the company has added a new dual-tone shade which looks sportier. Splendor Plus is now powered by a Hero’s ‘XSens technology 97.2cc, carbureted motor along with the fuel-injection system. The performance-focused engine offers the power of 7.91bhp at 8,000rpm and 8.05Nm of torque at 6,000rpm. The motor is combined with a four-speed gearbox. The previous version of the bike was 109kg (kerb). Although, the new update made it somewhat, heavier.
In terms of suspension, the bike features telescopic hydraulic forks at the front and hydraulic shock absorbers at the rear. The braking duties are handled by 130mm drum brakes at the front and 110mm drums at the rear. It comes with fuel tank capacity at 11 litres. The two-wheeler maker has also introduced a new BS6 Pleasure Plus 110 scooter which is priced from Rs 54,800. The Hero scooter is updated with a BS6 compliant motor which is capable of producing 8bhp of max power and 8.7Nm of torque.
