Mercedes G63 AMG is one of the fastest and luxurious offered on sale today. Despite boasting 577 bhp if you still think it’s not enough Brabus has a solution with its Brabus tuned G-63.
Brabus founded in 1977 in Bottrop, Germany, is a high-performance aftermarket tuning company that specializes in Mercedes-Benz, and Maybach vehicles. It became the largest Mercedes tuner, other than Mercedes-AMG. So when AMG tuned Mercedes is not enough for you Brabus comes with a more extreme Mercedes.
This time Mercedes new G63 AMG got the Brabus treatment. It’s called Brabus 700 Widestar. You might have guessed it, it produces a whopping 700 bhp! Under the hood, it has a from the twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8. The torque is also staggering 950Nm. A 9-speed SPEEDSHIFT TCT transmission with special ergonomically designed aluminum paddle shifters.
Brabus did new mapping for injection, ignition timing and a moderate increase in turbo boost pressure to get these figures. Sprint to 100km/h comes up in 4.3 seconds, 0.1s quicker than the AMG one with a top speed limited to 240km/h to protect the tyres.
The exhaust too gets Brabus treatment. An aftermarket sports exhaust with actively controlled flaps has a “Coming Home” mode for those not wanting to disturb the neighbors. Clients can select whether the pipes have silver or black chrome tips.
As the name suggests Widestar it gets a widebody kit. 10 cm wide flared wheel arches, illuminated running boards with Brabus logo, a redesigned front bumper, rear bumper, and enormous 23-inch “Platinum Edition” Monoblock forged wheels. LED lights treatment all around with an LED bar in the Front.
On the Inside, there is a mix of Carbon-Fibre, leather, wood, and Alcantara. The interior can also be tailored individually to the vehicle owner’s personal preferences.
Pricing for the Brabus 700 Widestar isn’t yet available. But looking at previous Brabus tuned cars it’s not gonna come cheap.
