Skoda Auto India has started the pre-bookings for the Skoda Karoq and Skoda Rapid 1.0 TSI with a refundable amount of INR 50,000. Skoda Karoq
Skoda Karoq was recently showcased at 2020 Auto Expo and scheduled to launch later in March 2020. The SUV is based on the Volkswagen T-Roc and will be brought to the Indian market as a Completely Built Unit. The Skoda Karoq is powered with 1.5 Litre TSI (Turbocharged Stratified Injection) which churns out 150 PS and a peak torque 250 Nm and mated to a 7 speed DSG transmission. Although, we also expect a 7-speed manual.
Skoda Karoq features Panoramic Sunroof, a virtual cockpit along with 9 airbags. The Skoda Karoq will rival against Volkswagen T-Roc and Jeep compass. The Skoda Karoq is expected to be priced from 18 lakhs.
Skoda Rapid 1.0 TSI
Skoda Auto India’s bestseller Skoda Rapid is being offered with 1.0 Litre TSI (Turbocharged Stratified Injection) Engine. The Sporty variant will be based on the Top of the line Style variant and will feature the 1.0 L TSI which we have seen earlier with the Polo and Vento. The BS6 compliant 1.0 Litre TSI petrol motor will produce 115PS and 200 Nm of peak torque and mated to a six-speed manual and six-speed Torque converter automatic transmission.
