The German car manufacturer BMW unveiled their new flagship SUV, the BMW X7 at the Los Angles Auto Show. The SUV looks massive and beefy. It is also packed with features to the brim.
The SUV is available in two different engine options. The base xDrive40i model features a turbocharged inline six cylinder engine. This produces 335 horsepower and 447Nm torque. This engine is capable of propelling the car from naught to 100kmph in an impressive 5.8 seconds. The xDrive50i variant runs on a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8. This engine produces even higher figures – 458 horsepower and 649 Nm of torque. The extra power on tap makes the car 0.6 seconds faster than the base variant. 0-60kmph on the xDrive50i comes in at 5.2 seconds.Both the engine options are mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox. The 50i also gets locking rear diff and also separate Dynamic Handling and Off-Road Packages. The SUV also has three rows of seats capable of ferrying six to seven passengers.
The interiors get the standard BMW treatment. It features a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment display on the console. Other features includes a four-zone climate control, reverse parking camera with park assist and all electronically adjustable seats. The cabin also gets a three-panel panoramic glass roof.
There is no news about the launch of the BMW X7 in India yet. But the SUV comes at a premium cost of $73,900 for the base variant and all the way up to $92,600 for the top trim.
