Gran Turismo: The luxurious automotive maker, BMW has recently added an awesome model in its sports line-up. They have finally uncovered the all-new 2018 BMW 6-Series GT which is beautifully designed with smooth edges. Overall, it is one of the most sporty vehicles produced by the company. It is completely different compared to the existing 5 Series Gran Turismo with upgraded advanced technologies and safety features. The company has showcased the vehicle at the 2018 Auto Expo inaugurated by Mr. Sachin Tendulkar.
The extravagance, 6 Series GT is produced in attractive shades like Mineral White, Glacier Silver, Mediterranean Blue, and Royal Burgundy Red coating on offer, whereas, the M Sport range comes in Carbon Black and Bluestone shades. The vehicle has received many innovative chrome details, traditional BMW’s kidney grille, latest bumpers, rear cover, and the all-new exhaust set-up. Whereas, the M Sport variant, comes with the M Aerodynamics ensemble with exhaust lack spines, light-alloy wheels, unique side skirts, oversized front air intakes and latest brakes. It is attached with ‘M badge’ which can be found on car key, sides section, door sills, as well as alloy wheels.
The GT is designed with a sleek exterior and the innovatively designed light tubes along with the latest LED headlights which offer a husky and strong pattern at the front. The extended L-shaped rear taillights feature LED light details in three dimensions which makes the look amazing from the real as well. Overall, the appearance of the luxurious vehicle gives a mesmerizing and fashionable expression.

The best-detailing of the GT is its panoramic glass roof which is added an open feel to the cabin. It comes with electrically adaptable rear passenger seats featuring Nappa leather upholstery along with contrast stitching. The interior is more spacious with large leg-room because of the frameless doors. It is outfitted with comfortable headrest cushion and rear window sunblinds. Some additional amazing highlights include cabin ambient lighting, six-selectable light designs and fine wood decoration and pearl chrome polished trim.
The dash is upgraded with many wow technologies and features. The dash is outfitted with an all-new 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system which supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, rear-seat entertainment with 10.2-inch color systems. It is also compatible with BMW navigation, BMW Connected Drive, and a Harman Kardon Audio System. The M-Sport variant comes with a heads-up display including a full-color projection.
High-Level Safety Features
The luxurious vehicle is packed with lots of high-grade safety features including six airbags, ABS with brake assist, crash sensor, dynamic stability control, side-impact protection, hill descent control, run-flat tires, cornering brake control and ISOFIX child seat mounting. Moreover, it has all the features which are mandatory as per the latest Indian vehicle norms like fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. Some additional highlights are Parking Assist, Park Distance Control, Surround View Camera, Remote Control Engine Start/Stop, Surround View of the Car and a 3D image view.
The Gran Turismo runs on an extremely powerful Twin Power Turbo 3.0-litre, six-cylinder diesel powertrain which is capable of generating 265hp of peak power and a 620Nm peak torque. The motor is combined with an 8-speed Steptronic sport automatic gearbox. The company claims the acceleration at 0 to 100 kmph in 6.3 seconds.
Pricing And Competitors
The fascinating and top-spec vehicle has received a price tag of approx. Rs 66.50 lakh (ex-showroom) for the Luxury Line variant. The 630d Gran Turismo produced in an M Sports variant is priced at Rs 73.70 lakh (ex-showroom).BMW 630i Gran Turismo Luxury Line petrol variant will come at a price tag of Rs 61.80 lakh (ex-showroom). It will compete against Ford Mustang in terms of popularity and price.

BMW India has manufactured the latest 630d GT at their Chennai factory. The new variant will also succeed the 5-series GT in India range. The 6-series GT is produced in both petrol and diesel variants. All the interested buyers of the diesel variant can buy the latest BMW from the showroom in India soon.
