Just days after BMW Motorrad finally revealed the launch of BMW G310R and GS in India, a video has surfaced on youtube pitting the G310R against the Bajaj Dominar 400. The video from Columbia shows a drag of Bajaj’s flagship versus the baby beemer. Titled “Dominar 400 vs BMW G310R Battle To Death”, the video has garnered a lot of attention.
We can see that Dominar 400 looses to the G310R in all the rounds. Both these motorcycles fall under different price categories. They also belong to different segments and cater to people with different requirements. The Dominar 400 is more of a tourer and the G310R is more of a city motorcycle. It will be interesting to see how this affects future buyers in the market for a 300cc motorcycle considering the G310R will be priced significantly higher than the Bajaj Dominar 400. Please note that the results of a drag race depend on a lot of factors other than the bikes themselves. The rider’s physique and their skill matter too. Launches aren’t always perfectly synchronized, so on and so forth. Also, a drag race does not decide which is better than which. A lot of other points should be taken into consideration. The requirements of the rider play a major role in deciding the better-suited bike for that particular person too.
