BMW Motorrad is offering massive discounts on the BMW G310R and G310GS. Some dealers are even offering up to Rs 70,000 worth benefits on the motorcycles.
The 310 twins were priced at Rs 3.78 lakh and Rs 4.35 lakh for the G310R and the G310GS respectively. This is more expensive than in the US even though both the motorcycles are manufactured and exported from India.
The extremely steep price resulted in lower than expected sales of both the motorcycles. This move is in the hope to increase the sales as the year end is close.
Most dealers are offering cash discounts of almost Rs 25,000. In addition, they are also offering free insurance which is worth around Rs 15,000. BMW has also reduced the Rate of Interest (ROI) on both the BMW G310R and G310GS to 3.10%. This is a significant reduction from the typical ROI of 14-18%.
With all three offers combined, some dealers are claiming savings of up to Rs 70,000. The catch is not all dealers are offering all said benefits. The free insurance is valid all over India. Cash discounts, on the other hand, varies from dealer to dealer.
The G310R and G310GS are the first sub 500cc motorcycles from the German company. It is manufactured by TVS in their Hosur plant but the R&D is from Germany. They are powered by a 313cc motor which produces34hp at 9,500rpm and 28Nm of torque at 7,500rpm
The offer is valid until December 31 2018 or until stocks last.
