BMW F900 R and F900 XR Launched in India: Prices Start at Rs 9.90 Lakh

BMW Motorrad has launched two new sports bike in the Indian market, all-new F900R and F900 XR. Both the bikes look fantastic with a sporty design. These luxury machines are unwrapped at an introductory price starting of Rs 9.9 lakh and go high up to Rs 11.5 lakh (ex-showroom). The company will sell these bikes in India as CBU units. Following are the prices of different variants launched:

BMW F900 R: Rs 9.9 lakh
BMW F900 XR Standard: Rs 10.5 lakh
BMW F900 XR Pro: Rs 11.5 lakh

The all-new F900R roadster and adventure sports F900 XR is available at entire BMW Motorrad showrooms. The fans were eagerly waiting for the launch since its official reveals at EICMA 2019. The company has now increased its premium motorcycle range in the Indian market. These bikes will compete with the popular bike makers, busy updating their line up to BS6 compliant models.

Both the bike comes with a stylish appearance along with different exterior touch-ups. The bikes are designed with different riding features and elements. At the front, the standard F900R gets sporty headlight and cockpit installed on the handlebars. It has received a husky front complimented with slimmer frames. It gets golden USD forks and upswept compact exhaust.

The company offers the F900R in three attractive colours: Hockenheim Silver Metallic / Racing Red, San Marino Blue Metallic and Black Storm Metallic. While F900 XR is available in Racing Red, Light White and Galvanic Gold Metallic. Some additional features of XR include extra fairing, dual-LED setup, sleek rear, comfortable seating for longer rides, a height-adjustable windshield and hand lever.

The suspension duties in both the bikes are handled by golden 43 mm USD forks and cast aluminium dual swing arm. It is equipped with 17-inch die-cast aluminium wheel highlighted with 120/70 XR 17 rubber and 180/55 ZR 17 rubber. The front suspension features travel of 135 mm and 170 mm for the rear.

Bothe bike features two riding modes Road and Rain along with traction control. They are installed with a 6.5-inch TFT display that supports Bluetooth connectivity. The high-specs XR trim highlights cruise control, a bi-directional quick-shifter and Dynamic ESA. On the other hand, F900R features cornering lights, keyless ignition and Pro riding modes.

Both bikes are powered by 895cc parallel-twin engine which churns out 105 bhp of max power at 8,500rpm and 92 Nm of peak torque at 6,500rpm. The engine is combined with dual balancer shafts. BMW F 900 R will rival against KTM 790 Duke, Triumph Street Triple RS and Yamaha MT-09 while F 900 XR will compete against Tiger 900 GT range and Ducati Multistrada 950 in India.
