The smallest and cheapest offering from the Italian manufacturer – the Benelli BN 125 was spotted in India. If launched, the motorcycle will be placed in the premium entry-level segment and will rival the KTM 125 Duke. This launch is expected as the company is looking forward to expanding its reach in India.
Coming to the Benelli BN 125, it shares a resemblance with the bigger TNT 600i and TNT 300 with a similar design language. It features an exposed frame seen in a red shade in the picture which adds to the streetfighter look of the bike. The front also sports beefy USD forks along with an LED headlight unit. The motorcycle also sports a fully digital instrument cluster.
Powering the new Benelli BN 125 is an air-cooled 125cc engine that is good for 11.1 Bhp of power and 10 Nm of torque. The figures on the paper show that the BN 125 is slower than the KTM 125 Duke. It also heavier at 142 kilograms. The engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission. Braking duties are handled by a CBS or combined braking system. The motorcycle runs on 110mm front and 130mm rear tires.
It is unsure if the company will launch the BN 125 in the country. The pictures are from a Kaulson Racing who specialize in importing and servicing of superbikes in the country. However, if launched, the motorcycle will increase the reach of the company due to a lower price tag and will compete head to head against the KTM 125 Duke.
