Bajaj Launches Motorcycle Brand Husqvarna in India: Bikes Revealed

Bajaj Auto announced the Swedish bike company Husqvarna Motorcycles in India at India Bike Week 2019. Hence, Husqvarna Motorcycles will be sold in the Indian market as well. Many companies surprised us with their new products at the recently held event, India Bike Week 2019. The company also revealed it’s latest models, Vitpilen 250 and the Svartpilen 250 which will be available to buy from February, next year.

Husqvarna, the Swedish motorcycle maker is owned by the KTM AG group and as you all know, Bajaj Auto has acquired almost 48 per cent stake in the company. It is ruling the international market since 1903 with its unique sports bike models. So, the all-new models will be delivered to the customers via KTM dealerships all over India. According to Bajaj Auto, “The Husqvarna Svartpilen and Vitpilen are bespoke Swedish motorcycles which are painstakingly crafted to deliver high performance in a very aesthetic design. This is the result of the Swedish ethos of maintaining a fine balance between dynamic performance & unique Scandinavian design”.

Both the bikes have distinct design scheme which will attract sports bike enthusiasts. The company calls the designing ‘understated, minimalist, and elegant’ which makes it more appealing compared to other performance bike models. The Svartpilen 250 comes with a husky look and upright position along with dual-purpose tyres. It is an outstanding choice for riding on smooth city roads as well as and offroad.

On the other hand, the Vitpilen 250 has received a dashing sporty appearance highlighting clip-on handlebars and a front lean riding position. Both the bikes will be based on KTM 250 Duke. The models are equipped with a LED headlight and taillight, thick fuel tank, and smallest side panels. The bikes also feature high-quality WP APEX suspension with upside-down forks along with Bosch Dual Channel ABS. The bikes will be outfitted with 17-inches cast aluminium wheels.

This was just the start as the company has also revealed its 200cc bike range, Svartpilen 200 and Vitpilen 200, based on KTM 200 Duke. Designed on the strong steel trellis frame, the 200 twins comes with short saddle horizontal exhaust assembly. It will be equipped with an all-digital LCD panel featuring speed, tachometer, odometer, trip meter, distance to empty, and gear position indicator.

Both Vitpilen 250 and Svartpilen 250 are powered by the same single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, 4-stroke, 248.8 cc motor which delivers 31 hp power and 24 Nm of torque. While 200cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected liquid-cooled motor is capable of making 26hp power combined with a 6-speed gearbox. The prices of the bikes will be revealed at the official launch. So, we have to wait until then.
