Earlier reports have already suggested that Husqvarna bike will be exclusively solved by Bajaj Auto in India. The company will bring the Husqvarna as a CBU unit in the country. After the great success of Pulsar and Avenger models, the company is all set the launch the imported two-wheelers. As per latest reports, the company will bring the upcoming Husqvarna Vitpilen 401 and Svartpilen 401 as CBU units in the country.
Husqvarna Vitpilen 401 and Svartpilen 401 are the existing models of Argentina that are manufactured in Austria. The company has previously stated to produce the Indian version of the bikes which could be different from the global version, but now, they have planned to bring the international model in India for launch. The release date remains unchanged so, we will soon get the all-new model of Husqvarna.
By introducing these imported bikes, the company aims to increase the reputation in the current market and also attract fans. Although, imported units will be just for launch purpose and the company will locally assemble the bikes after 6 months of release in the country which will reduce the prices compared to the international version.
Husqvarna motorcycles are a modern retro concept. KTM and Bajaj Auto will begin the production of Husqvarna bikes in Bajaj’s Chakan facility, near Pune. The popular Pulsars are other range of motorcycles including KTM Indian bikes are also produced by this plant. Vitpilen 401 comes with clip-on handlebars connect to advanced aluminium triple clamps, a central focal point. It features decent fairings and a digital display unit which shows superior details.
Vitpilen 401 is outfitted with round front headlight which offers it a retro presence. The rear lights also have some well-defined components. It features LED technology which improves it overall, in terms of safety. It is equipped with high-quality foam and NABUK leather fabric which is comfortable for long rides. Both the bikes are developed with upside-down telescopic front forks, monoshock rear suspension, and tyre hugger mounted rear indicators. The bikes are inspired by the KTM 390 Duke.
The SVARTPILEN 401 is a bold, rugged bike which is exclusively designed to rule the urban roads. The body frame is robust, lightweight and slim which gives it a classy appearance. It sits on 17-inches spoked wheels and features offroad style handlebars. Both the bikes are powered by a KTM-based a single-cylinder, 373.3cc liquid-cooled powertrain that generates 43bhp max power and 37Nm of torque. The engine is combined with a 6-speed gearbox transmission.
Both the bikes are fitted with the similar braking system, 320mm disc up front and 230mm disc at the rear. Moreover, the standard features include Bosch dual-channel ABS, front USD forks, and rear monoshock suspension. Being a CBU unit models, the price of the bikes will be slightly higher compared to the KTM bike range. The bikes are expected to be launched by Bajaj Auto early next year.
