Bajaj Auto launched its flagship motorbike Bajaj Dominar 400 back in December 2016 which has lot of segment first features like full LED Headlamps and dual channel ABS. Since then the bike has grabbed a lot of attention both in Indian as well as in the foreign land. Dominar is the only bike which is above 220 CC class from bajaj’s stable and it has been showcased in Turkey at the Motobike Istanbul Exhibition but not the regular one you see.
Bajaj Auto has showcased the Dominar 400 in different disguise as a police bike. The Bajaj Dominar 400 police bike has multiple modifications to meet the requirement of the Istanbul police like luggage box, siren, tall windscreen, red-blue emergency lights, hand guards and a headlamp protector and also written “Polis” and “Zabita” in the fuel tank, which is Turkish word for Police.
Mechanically, the bike is unchanged and continues to be powered with the 373.2cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected engine outputs a maximum power of 35 bhp along with a peak torque of 35 Nm. The engine is again a liquid cooled with triple spark technology. The features list includes LED headlamp, fully-digital instrument console, dual-channel ABS, slipper clutch, and disc brakes on both front and rear alloy wheels.
Bajaj Dominar 400 is offered in Euro 4 complaint engines with a price tag of TRY 17,998 (approx Rs 3.28 lakh). Although the price is high due to other government taxes. The Bike is offered 3 color option of Midnight Blue, Twilight Plum and Moon White. However, the Police disguise is offered in white color shade.
