Bajaj Auto is getting ready to launch its all-new flagship model, Dominar 400 ABS. Bajaj has officially declared the modified version of the latest Dominar 400 ABS in a new video ad which was displayed at the automotive maker’s press conference. Earlier, the sporty bike has been spotted many times while on the test and its enthusiasts were eagerly waiting for its official announcement. It is expected to be launched at the beginning of next month.
You can also book this 400cc bike now in some Indian Bajaj dealerships at a token price between Rs 1000-5000. After the launch of Dominar, the company didn’t get a great response from the buyers. In December 2017, the company sold 925 units and only 24 units in Dec 2018. So, it was necessary for the bike maker to enhance the features and design which can help to increase the sales. In the new commercial video, the company has revealed the whole concept of the bike.
The new updated ABS gets upside down USD forks at the front along with dual exhaust structure, twin-port exhaust muffler, a catalytic converter, and redesigned exhaust system and a tank panel. The company has also added a new instrument cluster with the latest technological advancements. It is now equipped with an additional auxiliary display on the tank which features odometer, two trip meter and gear position indicator. The engine will be more high-performance.
The modified Dominar 400 ABS now runs on a powerful 373.3cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled which is capable of generating 34.5bhp of power and 35Nm of torque. The motor is combined with a six-speed gearbox and is BS VI emission compliant. The braking duties are controlled by disc brakes and dual-channel ABS as standard. Moreover, it will come with full LED headlamps and more ground clearance. It is expected to be priced at Rs 1.63 lakhs (ex-showroom). It rival against KTM Duke 250, Royal Enfield Classic 350 and Mahindra Mojo UT300.
