Dominar Non-ABS: The automobile manufacturer, Bajaj Auto has got huge customer ratings for the Dominar. However, the company has taken a major step regarding their bike. According to recent reports, the company will stop the production of Bajaj Dominar non-ABS versions because over up to 80% of Dominar customers purchased standard ABS. Merely, 20% of Dominar customers favored the non-ABS alternative, as a result, the automobile company determined to suspend the production of Dominar’s non-ABS variant to increase profit.
Bajaj Auto has earlier launched the Dominar bike model two year before in the month of December. The previous bike was also powered by the 373 cc single-cylinder engine similar to the KTM 390 Duke. However, the company has modified the motorcycle’s engine to improve the torque curve and peak power production is further decreased at 34.5 bhp, including a peak torque of 35 Nm. The company claims the highest speed of about 148 kmph. The bike runs approx. 0-100 kmph in 8.23 seconds. To be the best rival, the company has equipped it with 43mm telescopic fork and split seats, an all-digital instrumentation along with auxiliary display on the fuel tank, MRF tubeless tires, LED rear lights and much more.
There is an all-LED headlamp at the front which features Auto Headlamp On (AHO). The bike comes with a multi-step adjustable mono shock rear suspension. The Bajaj bike is outfitted with front and rear disc brakes with twin channel ABS. Previously, the ABS feature was optional, but now it will be produced only with ABS. Now about the Braking system which features Front brake Twin-channel ABS/ 320 dia disc and Rear brakes rear Twin-channel ABS/ 230 dia disc. The front tire is 110 /70-17 Radial and the back tire 150 /60-17 Radial.
The Bajaj Dominar a popular bike this year and was recognized as one of the most best-selling bikes, it also got good user ratings. It has a great sporty look with amazing feature package. The Bajaj enthusiasts have always appreciated this model. The Dominar 400 variant has 1,453 mm wheelbase and 157 mm ground clearance. The kerb weight and fuel tank capacity are 182 kgs, and 13 liters, respectively.
The Dominar variant which features twin-channel ABS is available at INR 1.56 lakh (ex-showroom). The Dominar will lock horn against Royal Enfield Classic 350, however, Bajaj Auto will have a tough competition with Royal Enfield customers as they have more demand in the market. Bajaj had originally aimed maximum 10,000 unit sales in a month for Dominar, in the local showrooms. The company has recorded the selling aggregate of simply 1500 units each month all over India, till now.
