Audi unveiled the new Q8 a few months ago. Now the car is available for booking in Germany and Poland. The new Q8 marks the entry of Audi into the full-size SUV segment. The Q8 has also been spotted testing in India, but the exact launch timeline has not been specified yet.
The new SUV comes with a plethora of new features. It comes with a distinctive front grille and wedge-shaped headlamps. The door sills are of brushed aluminium which emphasizes the paint job. The roof edge spoiler serves as both tail lamp and brake light.
If this car is launched in India, it will be the most premium SUV by the manufacturer. It will also be the most expensive car in Audi’s line up. It will go against the likes of Range Rover Sport, Porsche Cayenne, Lamborghini Urus, and the Bentley Bentayga.
The Q8 is extremely roomy on the inside. It comes with a boot space of 630 liters. The interior is extremely comfortable, premium and luxurious. The interior also features a 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen, a 2.3-inch display for the virtual cockpit instrument cluster, adaptive cruise assist, efficiency assist, crossing assist, lane change warning, curb warning and 360-degree cameras. The seating is made of Nappa and Nubuck leather in a pastel silver finish.
The car will be powered 3.0-liter engine. It produces a maximum power of 329 bhp and a peak torque of 369 lb/ft. It will be powered by an e-Tron hybrid powertrain. The transmission system is a Quattro mechanism with an 8-speed torque converter. It comes with a 17.9 kWh lithium-ion battery, offering a range of 37 miles. The electric motor adds an additional 124 bhp power and 243 lb/ft torque. This brings the total power figures up to 443 bhp and 516 lb/ft. The claimed acceleration from 0 to 100kmph comes in at 5.6 seconds and a top speed of 250kmph.
