Prior to the upcoming norms, manufacturers have been steadily updating their line up with BSVI compliant engines. Aprilia has been spotted testing BSVI SR 125 without any camouflage.
While the sticker on the front indicated and confirms that this is a BSVI Ready Aprilia SR125. Usually, test vehicles carry out these stickers while testing period.
Coming to the design we see a bright yellow paint scheme and a huge visor. The visor can come in as an optional accessory. Aprilia is also expected to change the tyres brand, the current Variant comes with 120 mm section Vee Rubber on both front and rear.
The mechanical will remain the same, and Aprilia SR125 will retain its 125cc engine making 9.6PS at 7,250rpm and 9.9nm of torque at 6,250 rpm. Braking power comes from 220mm disc at the front and traditional 140mm drum at the rear. Aprilia also updates its scooters with CBS (Combined braking system) technology for better and safer braking and to comply with the new norms.
When launched it will carry a small premium over the current variant which is around Rs 72,800 (ex-showroom Delhi) for the CBS variant. It will compete against Suzuki Access 125, Honda Activa 125, Vespa 125, and TVS NTorq 125.
