The TVS Apache RR310 which was launched across the country in December 2017 has recently seen a price hike. The initial price of the bike was Rs 2.05 Lakh ex- showroom Delhi. The company has announced that the bike will be sold at a price Rs 18000 more than the original price ie, Rs 2.23 Lakhs in majority of states.
The new price tags will come along from 1 st April 2018. The bike is now offered in two colours namely, Black and Red. The waiting time is reported to be 6 months depending on the colour, region and dealership to be chosen. This is the first fully faired bike and has similarity to BMW G310R.
The bike bears a 313 cc reverse inclined, single cylinder, four valve engine which produces 34 bhp at 9700 rpm and 27.3 Nm of torque at 7700 rpm. The six speed synchromesh gearbox gives the bike a top speed of 163 kmph. There are Kayaba discs at both the ends of the RR310. Upside down forks with a mono-shock at the rear also from Kayaba handle the suspension the bike. The brakes are handled by a 300 mm petal disc at the front.A radial caliper from Bybre covers the rear, with dual channel ABS as standard. It is claimed to complete the 0-60 kmph sprint in 2.93 secs and 0-100 kmph in 7.17 secs.
Bi-LED projector headlamps with LED DRIs, LED tail lights and a full digital vertically stacked instrument cluster with multiple information on display, including a lap timer gives the RR310 a smart look. The seat height is 810 mm and the ground clearance is 180 mm.The kerb weight is 169.5 kg. The fuel tank has a capacity of 11 litres.
The Apache RR310 has acquired rivals like KTM RC390, Beneli 302R and Bajaj Dominar 400. It is quite surprising that the RR310 still carries a price tag of Rs 1.99 Lakhs (ex-showroom) in Kerela.Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Telengana along with Maharashtra are the states were the bike will be sold for 2.13 Lakh.
