64 Year old youth buys his first motorcycle, a Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350X (ABS)
They say age is just a number when you have a dream, supplemented by perseverance and the will to pursue it. Time and again, this has been proved correct. Suresh Krishnamurthy, the 64-year-old man, or should we rightly say, Youth, has bought his first motorcycle, a Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350X (ABS).
Going by his Facebook post, Suresh has never owned or ridden a motorcycle in his life so far. This is his first ownership of a two-wheeler. He has chosen the Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350X (ABS) to be his first motorcycle and as he mentions in his Facebook post, “64 Years old senior citizen(me) is a proud owner of Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350X with ABS (Roving Red) three weeks ago. Never rode a bike in my life. Straight away into Royal Enfield. Royal Enfield means unique presence on road..”
Every one of us at WheelBHP wishes you miles and miles of happy and safe riding!
The Thunderbird 350X and 500X were launched in February 2018. The X series is a cosmetic update from the standard Thunderbird variant. It comes equipped with Alloy wheels wrapped in tubeless tires, a first in the Royal Enfield lineup. Other cosmetic changes include a blacked out headlamp case, exhaust pipe and body panels. It also has a single piece seat setup as opposed to the dual seat setup of the standard variant. The handlebar also sits low and wide than the standard variant. ABS was added to the 350X in November 2018.
Power on the Thunderbird 350X comes from the 346 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine tuned for 19 bhp and 28 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The bike uses telescopic forks at the front with dual shock absorbers at the rear. The bike has a disk brake setup at the front and rear.
