Good news for Triumph fans! The whole world is going through the worst situation right now. Big tech and automotive companies are struggling due to the current COVID-19 crisis. The automotive companies are not able to deliver sufficient outputs which have forced them to postpone the new launches. One of the most awaited models this year was a Triumph bike, Street Triple RS.
Triumph India was earlier reported to bring the all-new Street Triple RS in the March of this year. However, the plan was postponed due to Coronavirus lockdown. Here comes good news for the fans who have lost the thought about Triumph Street Triple RS launch. The company is all set to bring the all-new Street Triple RS on April 22, 2020.
The British bike maker will launch the bike and open the official bookings. However, it will be just for media representation as the customers cannot get the bike from showrooms due to lockdown. The launch will be live in the company’s Twitter account which will begin from 11:30 am on the said date.
Taking about the upcoming 2020 Street Triple, the company hasn’t changed much in terms of design. There are many elements, which look exactly similar to the previous version. However, the changes are exciting. It is now equipped with new LED headlamps and small exhaust along with a carbon surface. To enhance the riding experience of the riders, the company has fitted a TFT instrumentation with enhanced graphics.
In terms of features, it gets Bluetooth connectivity and GoPro controls as well offered through an accessory chip. The suspension duties are handled by the same Brembo M50 Monobloc callipers, a fully adjustable Showa fork and an Öhlins STX40 rear monoshock. It is also equipped with shod with Pirelli’s latest-generation Supercorsa SP V3 tyres.
The naked street bike is updated with a new and powerful 765cc, liquid-cooled, inline-triple motor which is capable of making 123hp of max power and 79Nm of peak torque. The bike will deliver enhanced performance when combined with the 6-speed gearbox. Additionally, it gets bi-directional quickshifter and a new free-flow exhaust.
Triumph India will reveal the prices of its upcoming Street Triple RS in the official launch. Although, the prices will be higher than the previous version available from Rs 11.13 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). After the launch, Street Triple RS will rival against the likes of all-new KTM 890 Duke R, Ducati Monster 821, Kawasaki Z900 and the Suzuki GSX-750.
